Pyreos has broad experience in engine oil analysis and algorithms for measuring most major parameters such as base number, acid number, insolubles, soot, water and FAME. Additive depletion is also measured, and unexpected components can be highlighted.

Oil adulteration is a problem in some countries. The same spectrometry can also assess whether engine operators are using recommended brands of oil, and whether that oil is adulterated or fraudulent.

Our products are the fastest available giving higher resolution and lower power consumption. There is no “warm-up” time. There are no moving parts so customer systems can be more robust.

Our customers used our development kits to develop and launch their products in record time. Lower cost Pyreos devices can be used to measure a smaller group of components quickly and with very high resolution. All this is provided in our thermally robust pyroelectric sensors.
