The pyroelectric effect that our devices exploit is particularly effective at flame detection, that effect harnessed by our unique patented technology delivers a flame detection sensor range with exceptional responsivity and range, enabling the development of market leading flame detection systems.

We offer flame detection across our entire range, in either an SMD or TO-39 packaged devices and with a digital or analogue output. These different form factors offer different strengths: ezPyro TO offers best sensitivity and range, and faster development in the digital ecosystem;  ezPyro SMD offers smallest footprint and is most cost-effective; Both ezPyro systems offer minimum component count. Analog TO offers optimum performance in a traditional analog environment. All systems offer class-leading speed. Demonstrated ranges with no extra optics range from 35m to 90+m depending on test conditions.

By also offering companion sensors to the main flame detecting sensor it is possible to refine a flame detection system to operate in challenging environments such as in high-levels of human motion, sunlight and arc welding, enabling a reliable system tuned to reject false positives.
